This notice explains how the Korea Family Capital Institute (“the Institute”, “we”) handles the personal information of those who visit familycapital.kr or correspond with us. We collect little, we use it only for the purpose you intended, and we hold it with care. It is provided with reference to Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA); Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), under which our controller is established; and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Institute is convened by Saint Clair Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202544632M), of 160 Robinson Road, #14-04, Singapore 068914, which is the data controller responsible for the personal information described here.
Our designated privacy officer (개인정보 보호책임자) is Carl Härtlein, Director. For any question about your personal information, or to exercise the rights set out below, write to enquiries@familycapital.kr.
At this stage the site is a single page and carries no forms, no accounts, and no tracking. We hold personal information in two ways only:
We use what you send us to reply to you, to send the Consultation Paper when you ask for it, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We use the server logs to run the site and guard it against misuse. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
We rely on your consent when you write to us and ask us to respond; on our legitimate interest in keeping a record of correspondence and in operating and securing the site; and on legal obligation where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party trackers. Should that change, we will update this notice and seek consent where it is required.
We rely on a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf under contract: our website host, Gandi (France), and our email provider, Migadu (Switzerland). Because these providers operate outside the Republic of Korea, your information is processed abroad — in France and Switzerland, jurisdictions recognised as offering a standard of protection comparable to that of Korea and the European Economic Area — under contractual and other safeguards appropriate to such transfers.
We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed for the purpose you contacted us about, and then we delete it. Technical logs are retained only for the period our host requires to operate and secure the service.
You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop processing it; and you may withdraw any consent you have given. Write to us at enquiries@familycapital.kr and we will respond. If you are in the Republic of Korea, you may also raise a concern with the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC); if you are in the European Economic Area, with your local data protection authority.
We apply reasonable measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is wholly secure, and we do not pretend otherwise.
This notice is published in English. A Korean version (개인정보처리방침) is available on request — write to us at enquiries@familycapital.kr.
As the Institute grows and the site adds functions, this notice will change with it. The effective date above marks the current version.
For any question about this notice or your personal information, write to enquiries@familycapital.kr.
